Sorry

Just a little updated. Sorry I haven't been updating. I have been really bogged down with school work since finals are coming up. I am still running barefoot and alive. I hope to have some nice things coming up this summer including reviews over The Barefoot Book and The Complete Idiots Guide to Barefoot Running.

Take care

Hydration Trick

Most need to drink more water. While the amount is debatable, 8-10 glasses is a safe estimate. If you are a runner hydration can either make or brake your run. So what can we do about it?

I typically like to start my day with some Rooibos. It does not contain caffeine and tastes great without anything in it. It can be served hot or cold.

So say your one of those people in a cold office all day. I am, and found that drinking hot water with the old Rooibos tea bag in it works just great. It is more welcoming than boring cold water.

Just a quick tip.  :)

Dog Running

The other day my dad brought up the great idea of running with dogs, specifically those at the humane society. These dogs need someone to wear them out, and I think I would be good at it.

What I plan to do is run 0.5 miles to a mile with a dog(depending on how tired or disobedient the dog is), return it, then run with another one. On a 3 mile run I could run with up to 6 dogs. Maybe it will catch on and I can get a team of dedicated runners to hook up with the dogs.

Now this does have some problems. I am not sure if I can afford the gas to drive down there every day and run with them. The nearest one is about 7 miles, but 7*2*7 miles is a bit of gas. Maybe I could alternate days.

Another thing I was thinking was to turn it into a business. Would people pay $10 a mile for me to wear their dog out? I bet!

These are all just thoughts circling my brain.

Book Reviews Coming Soon

I haven't written in a while. I have been really busy, but I have been running. :)

I finished reading The Barefoot Book. It was really great and informative on more than just barefoot running. I will have a review up when I get time.

I just received The Complete Idiot's Guide To Barefoot Running from the marketing program for the book. They were really nice. I glanced through the book and I have some really high hopes for it. They seem like they cover everything!

Alright, well until later, keep running barefoot!
